Join Colorado Radio for Justice for a Listening Party & Community Conversation.

We’ll listen to selections from our new podcast, HABITUAL, as we celebrate one year since our relaunch.

HABITUAL is a podcast by Colorado Radio for Justice that pulls back the curtain on Colorado’s three-strikes law, as told by Herbert Alexander, who survived it. The statute is one of the most powerful and least examined tools in the state’s criminal-legal system; it labels certain people as “habitual criminals” and transforms their prison sentences to triple, quadruple, or even virtual life sentences. Over 500 people in Colorado prisons today carry that label, with their futures and their families still defined by it. For more on what you’ll hear in HABITUAL, visit the show page, here: https://www.radioforjustice.org/habitual
